How to calculate unpaid leave was created by renuka

Hi thr,

I understand that this is the formula to calculate unpaid leave:

1/month X basic salary

Do we need to calculate the total month ( 30 or 31 days) or just the working days only ( minus the weekends)

Hi Renuka,

For unpaid leave calculation, it's kind of according to your company policy. Typically you may:

1. Calculate unpaid leave based on the ACTUAL working days of each month, or

2. Calculate the total working days per year, divide it by 12 months, and use this fixed average working days as a based for each month.
