Dear Team

I am having one problem with variable pay /deduction.
Normally we add deduction for particular month (for example, May 2021).
In next month(June 2021), we process salary preview, previous deduction is still included?
So could you let me know how to deal with this issue? We can delete this deduction manually but for many users, it is quite time consuming process. Is there any way to set period for variable pay/deduction or can we just inactive for previous month ?

Hi,

1. If you add Variable Deduction under Payroll->Salary Adjustment, then they will appear in the salary process until you remove them from the Salary Adjustment.

2. However, if you add Variable Deduction on-the-fly when you process the payroll, then it will only appear in that particular payroll.
